We recently got to fly to San Diego to visit Chris' family for a week. Upon arriving on Tuesday we went to pay Grandma Kathy a visit at work. Little did we know that Tucker already had a fan club among her nurse friends!
Wednesday we left Tucker with Grandma, Aunt Lauren, and his cousins so Chris and I could enjoy Leap Day at

And what a great day we picked to go! Not only did we get discounted tickets, but the weather was decent, and apparently there are not many lines on a Wednesday in the middle of winter. There were even a few rides where we had to wait a bit while a few more people showed up! After riding a few coasters we finally found Snoopy.
Then Chris, with a little encouragement, bravely took on this 300 foot tall spinning swing.
I was okay just watching and taking pictures below :).
We did loads of other fun stuff like hang out with Chris' friends Keith, Rachel, and little Isaiah (Keith is Chris' long-time BFF), go to the park with the cousins, visit the historic San Luis Rey Mission, and check out Point Loma with the entire fam.
Saturday was the much anticipated meeting day of Tucker's "Betrothed BFF," Cody Varga. Katie, Ryan, and Cody came all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to play with us!
After a happy introduction Cody taught Tucker what you're SUPPOSED to do with books (since he just likes to eat them),
and showed him how to crawl and climb stairs. Then they accompanied us to the beach where Tucker got to dip his toes in the ocean for the very first time! Unfortunately, he did not enjoy it.
At first i thought it was perhaps the cold water that he didn't like, but later we noticed that when we stood him in the sand he would pick up one foot and scrunch up his toes, then switch feet. If I was holding onto him he picked them both up! Silly boy! That night we enjoyed BBQ and chocolate cupcakes for Jack and Ainsley's third birthday.
Accept for Tucker and I getting sick right at the end, it was a super fun trip! We enjoyed the beautiful weather, and it's always fun being with family.
I had been excited to come back home because I knew a fun home upgrade was awaiting us. Our new furniture! So here is a picture of our new and improved living room! Thank you TurboTax!
